Let $X$ be a discrete random variable following a Binomial distribution with parameter $n$. Then, $X$ converges to the Gaussian distribution with parameters $\mu =np$ and ${\sigma }^2=np(1-p)$, when $np\to \infty$ and $n(1-p)\to \infty$
